North Star Armoury is on its way to having a functioning website. We hope 
to have the first generation site up and running by late February , 2009. It won't be a masterpiece of web design, but it (we hope!)
will permit you to see some of our goods, and buy online through PayPal. Yay!

Who We Are
North Star Armoury is run by Max Engel, known in the Society For Creative Anachronism as Master Peter of the Golden Isles, O.L. Max has over 25 years of armoring and jewelry-making experience.
He is assisted by his wife, Jessica Bethel, known in the SCA as Lady Jesmonde de Halys, and by their four cats.
What We Do
North Star Armoury makes reproduction medieval armor and jewelry, as well as historical fencing gear, simple leather goods, and Little Fiddley Bits (fondly known as "LFBs") like purse frames, period hinges, and the metal rims for period shovels.
The armor can be divided into two categories: cold rolled steel, and "spring" steel (4130 hardenable steel). It all moves superbly.
Why We Do It
We enjoy it. We love historical artifacts, we love good craftsmanship, and we love being able to produce items that people on a limited budget (and who isn't, these days?) can afford.
