Lyngby Bracteate

15.00

This is a very early Norse bracteate, dating from ca 3rd century C.E. It was discovered near the town of Lyngby, Denmark. We have no evidence of exactly who the figure on the bracteate represents, though it is likely to be one of the Norse or Germanic goddesses.

Our version is etched in brass, then a hand-stamped suspension loop is attached. It measures approximately 1 inch in diameter.
