Rømersdal Thor's Hammer
The original of this Thor’s hammer from Rømersdal, Bornholm, Denmark, is in the Statens Historska Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. It is unprovenanced but dates from the late 9th to second half of the 10th century. Made from two pieces of silver and is decorated with stampwork, the Rømersdal hammer is a Norse classic.
Our version is etched in brass with a decorated loop soldered to the top for attachment. The style of loop may vary (hand work, you know). Dimensions are 1 1/2 (3.8 cm) inches wide and 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) high.
